Abstract

The Cecilio Acosta Catholic University, Maracaibo, Zulia state, Venezuela, is undergoing a curricular reform aimed at modernizing its academic offer to respond to the demands of the contemporary social and technological environment. Creating the subject "Transmedia Genres I" in the Faculty of Social Communication Sciences, with the aim of preparing students for the use of digital tools in journalistic production, with new trends in transmedia narratives. This approach is redefining the way stories are told in journalism. The programmatic content is aimed at the development of specific competencies in the adaptation to an interactive format. The key lines of research are transmedia journalism, digital narratives and interactive reporting. Emphasis is placed on the importance of continuous teacher training and the integration of technology in the classroom, ensuring that future professionals are equipped for an ever-evolving information ecosystem.
