Academic management information system for research coordination

The research focused on the design of an information system for the academic record of Alonso de Ojeda University, with the aim of improving the management of the documentation of special degree works. This study was framed within the modality of a feasible project, with a non-experimental, field and cross-sectional design. For the construction of the prototype, the Visual Studio Community development environment and the C# programming language were used; the system was developed through the Blue Watch development methodology proposed by Montilva and Barrios (2021). Consequently, the study specified that the characteristics of an information system cover several aspects; these include, the execution flow of the activities of the academic processes, the technical development specifications, the technological availability of the university institution, the processing of information and the production of administrative reports.
