The purpose of this article is to evaluate the status of the water injection project of the Eocene Campo La Concepción deposit, through diagnoses such as those of Chan, Hall Plot, and control and production graphs. This study area is located northwest of the Lake Maracaibo basin and began operations in the La Concepción Field in December 1997, which to date the Eocene reservoir had produced 75 mmbbls, with an average pressure between 200 and 800 lcf. @ 2500 Ft. Under these premises, the water injection project was implemented in the Eocene sands, conceptualized in two stages, reactivating 12 wells in total after the implementation of the project, which had not been evaluated. In relation to the methodology, the type of descriptive research was established, under a documentary, non-experimental design. The results of the diagnostic evaluation will allow an effective volumetric replacement design.
