Abstract

College dropout is a persistent challenge affecting educational institutions around the world. Students drop out for a variety of reasons ranging from financial difficulties to lack of interest or academic problems. In this context, immersive technology, including virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR), emerges as a powerful tool to transform the educational experience and, consequently, mitigate college dropout. These technologies allow students to interact with the content in a more dynamic and practical way, which increases their motivation and engagement.
